…What are you doing for others! Martin Luther King
The character originated during the open house ceremonies of the Tillman Riverside Mortuary in Riverside, California. The performance was so well received, funny, and tastefully entertaining, that thousands have sought after the performance for celebratory affairs such as conferences, church anniversaries, birthday parties, brunches, banquets, teas, and other religious functions. Aunt Flossie appears as an older church woman with the same challenges many of us face in todays society.
The vast difference between her and others is that she is outspoken, capable of defending her every cause and stands in her own two shoes!! Her strong Christian convictions sometimes get the best of her and remind her of who she “once was” which challenges her ability to taper her flesh. The vocal talent of Aunt Flossie is displayed in songs of yesteryears. The cast consists of 15 members, each bringing their unique talents that have been said to be awesome and dramatically satisfying. The performers act without a written script, no rehearsals or any formal training. Aunt Flossies comedy has ministered to crowds of all ages ranging from the young in age and heart as well as our dear silver seniors. What makes this show stands out from many is that it is void of vulgar, offensive, and profane language. It is sure to be a performance bringing out the best and worst of your tears of laughter, the drooling of your laughter, and the soaking of your depends!!
