Kay W. Coulson
PRESIDENT & CEO Grew up in Hampton, Virginia, and is now a resident of Los Angeles, California. She’s a wife, mother, grandparent, and great-grandmother, aka "Bubby!"
1980–1981: worked at Hoffman House as a Residential Counselor for Federal and State females confined to a halfway house. 1981–2004: employed at the Federal Correctional Institution, Terminal Island, a medium-security federal institution for male adult inmates. Retired as the Volunteer Program Coordinator after 22 ½ years in the U.S. Department of Justice, Federal Bureau of Prisons, at FCI, Terminal Island, CA, January 2004. Beverly Sapp
Vice President Beverly was born in New Orleans, Louisiana and raised in Baton Rouge. She moved to Compton, California in 1975 and attended Compton College earning an Associate of Arts degree in General Education in 1978.
She began employment at McDonald Douglas Aircraft as a Machine in 1978. She was married Carl Sapp and had two children from that union. She is currently retired, with two grown children and two grandchildren(twins). In 1996, she was hired at TAD Resources to a temporary assignment until 1998. In 1998, she was hired at the UCI, Campus into Temporary Services and was hired permanently to Medical Records in 2000. In 2003, she was promoted to Senior Medical Records Assistant until she retired. Beverly is a member of Friendship Baptist Church, Yorba Linda since 1996, where she is an active member of Doorkeeper! (Usher Board). She has served faithfully on the Board of Directors for n-ACTION Family Network, a non-profit organization from 17 years. She is currently Board Vice President. |
Constance Leathers
Secretary Born and raised in Newport News and Hampton, Virginia, Constance graduated from Bethel High School, Hampton, Virginia. She married and moved to California in 1974. She received an AA degree from Long Beach City College and a Bachelor of Science Degree from California State University Long Beach in Long Beach, California. Constance worked for the County of Los Angeles for 36 years and retired from Los Angeles County Probation Department in 2015. She joined Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc., Alpha Psi Zeta Chapter in 2014. She is the Co-chairperson for the Chapter Stork’s Nest Program and the Domestic Violence Coordinator. She successfully completed forty hours of training in Domestic Violence Intervention Education on June 15, 2021. She is an official Domestic Violence Advocate.
Constance wrote and copyrighted a play about Domestic Violence entitled “Don’t Make Me Over”. She is currently working on a book and hopes to have it published in the next year. When she is not writing, she volunteers as a Deputy Commissioner of Civil Wedding, where she performs weddings at the Registrar Recorder’s Office in Norwalk, California. She is a member of New Philadelphia AME Church in Long Beach, California. She has four children and seven grandchildren. |
Jacqueline Walker
Treasurer Jacqueline Walker is serving as the Treasurer for n-Action Family Network. She retired after 32 years and nine months of service from the County of Los Angeles Superior Courts as a Court Operations Manager. Mrs. Walker is happily married and has two children and six grandchildren. She was born in Warren, Arkansas, and was raised in Compton, California.
Ms. Walker obtained an Associate Arts Degree from Compton Community College in Computer Science. She also received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Services from the University of Phoenix. Ms. Walker was on the Board of Directors of GAP INC, a non-profit organization from 2005 through 2006. GAP INC provided prevention and intervention services that focused on the spiritual, personal, intellectual and career development of young people. Mrs. Walker is a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Yorba Linda, California. She serves on the Usher Board and Food Pantry ministries. Mrs. Walker enjoys cooking, hosting parties, spending time with family and friends and traveling. |
