This award is given to a person who has made both a moral and conscious decision to stand up for what is “just and right” regardless of an individual’s ethnic background. He/she is actively involved in their community and will stand with other community activists to protest against injustices and hopelessness. The overriding principle of this award is to “uplift the disadvantaged and give hope". The person named stands for what is right and is not afraid to stand alone. The recipient shall exemplify passion, humility, and remember that the fight goes on, the struggle continues, but always “to God be the glory". |
Director’s Award

The Board of Directors will select an individual who has shown that he/she is tuned into the community. This person will exhibit the quintessential characteristics of a servant of the people and goes beyond the call of duty to make a difference. They must be caring and compassionate with a positive and proven track record to encourage the disadvantaged and promote positive and affirming programs for at-risk youth. The recipient of this award may also be selected for their unselfish financial support and/or volunteer services to organizations that are geared towards helping educate, train, mentor, and support the less fortunate. This individual must have great character and integrity with altruistic tendencies. He/She must also be an excellent role model to all people, with great humanitarian instincts and goals. |
